Terms and Conditions
Welcome to SmartPrepX. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the SmartPrepX platform, website, applications and services (collectively, the "Service"). By registering for or using SmartPrepX, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility & Accounts
- SmartPrepX is intended for students preparing for board examinations. Users below the age of majority should use the Service with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian.
- You agree to provide accurate, complete information when creating your account and to keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
- One account is intended for use by a single student. Sharing accounts may result in suspension.
2. Use of the Service
SmartPrepX grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access the Service for your own educational use. You agree not to:
- Copy, record, download, scrape, resell or redistribute any questions, assessments, past papers or other content.
- Share your account or paid content with others.
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, hack or gain unauthorised access to the Service.
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in any way that harms SmartPrepX or other users.
3. Subscriptions, Plans & Payments
- SmartPrepX offers three subscription plans: Basic, Standard and Premium. Each plan has different access limits, features and pricing.
- Basic and Standard plan users may see ads while using the Service.
- Premium gives full access to available learning features, including unrestricted practice where offered by the plan, past papers, assessment features, question suggestions and an ad-free experience.
- Plan prices, billing cycles and durations are shown at the time of purchase. Paid features are unlocked only while your subscription is active.
- Only one subscription plan is active per user at a time. Subscribing to a new plan replaces your previous active plan.
- Unless stated otherwise, subscription fees are non-refundable once access has been granted. We may change plan features or pricing, with reasonable notice for active subscribers.
4. Ads, Notifications & App Features
- Ads help support Basic and Standard access. Ad availability, placement and format may change over time.
- Premium users receive an ad-free plan while their Premium subscription remains active.
- SmartPrepX may send push notifications for learning reminders, announcements, account updates, subscription activity and other service messages. You can manage notification permissions through your app or device settings.
- Speech-to-text may be available for short-question answers. You are responsible for reviewing the converted text before submitting your answer.
- Assessment history for MCQs and short questions is provided to help you review past attempts, results and progress.
5. Question Suggestions
- Premium users may submit question suggestions where this feature is available.
- Suggestions must be original, accurate to the best of your knowledge and related to the relevant syllabus, subject or chapter.
- By submitting a suggestion, you allow SmartPrepX to review, edit, approve, reject, publish or use it to improve the question bank without any payment or separate approval.
- You must not submit content that is copied, misleading, unlawful, abusive or infringes another person's rights.
6. Content & Intellectual Property
All content on SmartPrepX — including questions, answers, assessments, past papers, text, design, logos and software — is owned by or licensed to SmartPrepX and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not use our content or branding except as expressly allowed by these Terms.
7. Educational Disclaimer
SmartPrepX is a preparation and practice tool. While our content is carefully prepared and aligned with provincial board curricula, we do not guarantee any specific examination result, grade or outcome. SmartPrepX is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official representative of any examination board.
8. Availability
We work hard to keep SmartPrepX available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance, updates or factors beyond our control.
9. Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, misuse the Service or engage in fraudulent or harmful activity. You may stop using the Service and request account closure at any time.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SmartPrepX shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the version and published date below. Continued use of SmartPrepX after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
